The setting at La Roque Saint-Christophe is particularly popular with groups.
Visitors begin by exploring the first part of the site on their own , guided by the interpretive panels. The tour then continues to the spectacular Grande Terrasse, which is nearly 300 meters long and 40 meters high. A magnificent view!
Depending on your preferences, this section can be:
- Completed independently.
- Accompanied by one of our guides (reservation required).
The self-guided tour option allows everyone to fully enjoy the visit, even when participants have different walking paces or interests. Guided tours , on the other hand, offer a much-appreciated addition thanks to the anecdotes, historical explanations, and interactions with our tour guides.
What to Expect During Your Visit
After arriving at the bus parking lot located at the foot of the site, participants proceed to the reception area, where they are given their tickets.
The program then proceeds in several stages:
- Exploring the fort and the first areas open to visitors.
- Access to the Grande Terrasse and its impressive cave-like structures.
- Guided or self-guided tour, whichever you prefer, on the Grande Terrasse
- Take your time making your way back to the main entrance while continuing to explore the different areas of the site.
This itinerary offers a smooth and enjoyable tour, while giving everyone plenty of time to take in the exceptional scenery of the Vézère Valley.
